Wojtusiks' Win PRO-MAC™ Three Lakes Open Championship

The Professional Muskie Angler Circuit (Pro-MAC) finished the 2011 season of the two-day qualifiers on the Three Lakes Chain on Saturday and Sunday, September 10th and 11th. Mike Wojtusik of Rhinelander and his brother Dan Wojtusik of Eagle River, would team up with three muskies equaling 129 total inches taking home the first place honors. When the weekends tilt was over and the dust had cleared, there would be a total of twenty seven muskies registered for the event, with sixteen coming on Saturday and eleven on the Sunday.

Mike and Dan Wojtusik would win the Three Lakes Event by tallying an impressive triple with fish being registered on Saturday of 40 inches at 10:03am and 45.75 inches at 2:19pm along with a Sunday muskie of 43.25 inches at 8:21am. The Wojtusiks third muskie on Sunday was fish that the brother would have to get because hot on their heels was Tom Perdzock and Dave Kawleski with three muskies of their own, a 38 on Saturday at 9:21am and two 39 muskies on Sunday at 7:03am and 9:25am leaving the team twelve inches out of first. John Carlson and Tim Nordland would score on three fish as well with two on Saturday of 34.75 inches at 7:38am and 35.25 inches at 10:42am and a Sunday catch of 43.25 inches at 11:27am that would give the team a third place finish. Landing a fourth place finish was Ryan Bock and Tim Rutzen Jr. with two muskies of 35.25 inches at 7:45am and 40.75 inches at 8:16am, both on Sunday. The final team to register multiple fish would be Jared Adomovich and Jeremy Barber with a Saturday muskie of 38.50 inches at 1:01pm and a Sunday fish at 7:38am measuring 35.75 inches.

Other teams who scored on muskies Saturday were: Bill Vierkandt and Tony Piantek 41 at 6:43am, Terry Ritter and Tom Wallschaeger 42.50 at 7:59am, Don Grant and Tony Goodson 37 at 8:04am, Brian Krelle and Tim Miller 42 1/2 at 8:30am, Chad Popp and Al King 46 at 8:35am, Neil Barnett and Bill Hill 38 at 10:29am, Bob Chitty and Brent Hacker 34 1/4 at 10:55am, Ron and Ryan Meyer 34.75 at 10:57am, John Michalec and Tom Ustaszewski 36 ½ at 1:17pm, and David Quinn and Jerry Podmarsky 34.75 at 1:24pm.

Other teams that tallied muskies on Sunday were: Joe and Prescott Mahner 35.75 at 6:45am, Brien and Shannon Gindt 35.75 at 7:45am, Tim and Tom Mathu 40.50 at 9:23am, and Bob Dekker and Scott Chisholm 36.50 at 9:38am.

The Pro-MAC inaugural 2011 season consist of three one day qualifying tournaments and six two day qualifiers, all culminating with histories largest guaranteed muskie tournament circuit championship payout of $40,000.00 to the first place finishers with a purse of $55,000.00. Pewaukee Lake will be the location of this historic 2011 Pro-MAC Invitational Championship. The next tournament for the Pro-MAC is the Lake Mohawksin in Tomahawk on Saturday, September 24th. There is still some spot open for the Lake Mohawksin tournament. If you would like to fish the Lake Mohawksin Pro-Mac event, you can sign up for the tournament on the previous Friday the 23rd at Sara Park on the shores of Lake Mohawksin between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
