WMT SERIES™ RHINELANDER CHAIN FINAL 2013 QUALIFYIER

The World Muskie Tournament Series™ (WMT Series™) will be concluding the 2013 regular season of muskie qualifiers with the Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™) on the Rhinelander Chain tourney on Sunday, September 8th. The Muskie Country™ Rhinelander Chain event represents the final chance for tournament competitors to qualify for most prestigious muskie event of the season and the biggest cash pay-out of a muskie tournament in 2013 at the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™. The WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ has set records for the last three years with the highest cash pay-outs for a muskie tournament circuit championship with last year's top prize of $50,000.00 and a purse of over $70,000.00. This year could see that record falling again for the fourth straight year.

The WMT Series™ has made the Rhinelander Chain of Lakes a regular stop for all thirteen years since its inception and for very good reasons, the chain has a reputation of producing big fish (three times the chain has been responsible for crowning the winners of the Hunter Trophy™ for the biggest muskie of the year named after Mike & Benji Hunter who captured the largest muskie during the 2001 inaugural season on Boom Lake,) but also for the numbers of muskies as well. This year's Muskie Country™ Rhinelander Chain qualifier is the latest in the season that the WMT Series™ has ever hosted the event and normally early September muskie fishing on the chain is at its best but this year, with the muskie bite finally starting to “heat up”, could be the best production in numbers of muskies registered 34 inches or better the WMT Series™ has ever witnessed, and it is a real possibility that one of those giant 50 inch plus muskie that the water is famous for, could show up in a team's net that would win them an extra $3,500.00 and a free graphite reproduction from Fittante Taxidermy.

Not only will teams be looking to capture the bragging rights of a tournament victory, but there will also be teams looking for the Rhinelander Chain to gain points for the World Muskie Tournament Series™ Rankings™ to earn the MCTC™ Champion™ that could be worth an extra $5,000.00 (depending on the fields of events) and the highest honor in muskie tournament fishing, the Lapp Trophy™ for winning the team of the year that could be worth an extra $20,000.00 (depending on the fields of events).

On the same weekend of the Rhinelander Chain event, there is a tournament on Lake Mohawksin the previous day Saturday, September 7th. Both tournaments still have some open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. Fishing hours will start at 6:30am and conclude at 3:30pm with the headquarters at Sara Park for the Lake Mohawksin tournament and at the Flyin Finn Pub and Resort for the Rhinelander event. The entry fee for a WMT Series™ event is $330 per two angler team and each tournament is scheduled to pay down five places with first place paying out $10,000.00 (with a field of 75 boats). We will also be accepting entries for Lake Mohawksin, and the Rhinelander Chain tournament, the Friday before the tournaments at Sara Park (on the shores of Lake Mohawksin) at 900 W. Somo Ave, Tomahawk from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. There will also be an opportunity to enter into the Rhinelander Chain of Lakes event on Saturday, September 7th at the Flyin Finn Pub & Resort (on the shores of Boom Lake) at 3924 HWY 47 from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

All WMT Series™ events are open to the public and we hope you will join in on the fun and excitement. For additional information, log on to our web sites at www.WMTSeries.com or www.ProfessionalMuskieAnglerCircuit.com for more details or email us at HunterMD@newnorth.net or call 715-277-4411.

WMT SERIES™ NEED JUDGES FOR 2013 INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP™

The WMT Series™ is looking for judges to help with the scoring of muskies caught by competing teams at the Invitational Championship™ on September 28th & 29th on the Lake Namakagon Chain in Clam Lake Wisconsin. We will be paying $100.00 each day both Saturday (fishing hours are from 6:30am to 3:30pm) and Sunday (fishing hours from 6:30am to 12:30pm) for judges who have a boat and a cell phone ( preferably with Verizon, it seems to be one of the only cell phone services that work well in that area) but there are other methods that we employ if your cell phone doesn't work as well in the area.

This is the biggest and most important professional muskie event of the season. If you would like to help us and witness some of the best muskie waters in the state, please email us at HunterMD@newnorth.net or call us at 715-277-4411.

CATCH A FISH AT EAGLE RIVER AND YOU’RE IN FOR BIGGEST $$$

The Eagle River Autumn Muskie Classic™ on August 24th & 25th is turning out to be a tournament where any team who registers a muskie, 34 inches or better, will be competing in the biggest cash pay-out muskie tournament in 2013 at the World Muskie Tournament Series™ Invitational Championship™ on the last weekend of September. Currently, the Professional Muskie Angler Circuit ™ (Pro-MAC™) Rankings™ has thirty five (35) teams with points leaving fifteen (15) spots open to qualify for muskie fishing’s most prestigious tournament of the season with the highest cash pay-out of the year for any muskie event…the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ making Eagle River a virtual “CATCH A FISH…YOUR IN” event.

The Pro-MAC™ Eagle River Autumn Muskie Classic™ is shaping up to be one of 2013 best muskie tournaments of the year with a strong field and the muskie action at the best it has been all season long. Coupled with the fact that the Eagle River Autumn Muskie Classic™ has always been a top producer of muskies in the past still holding on to the record for the most muskies caught in a qualifier at 47 fish over 34 inches for a WMT Series™ event. Angler’s looking to qualify for the Invitational Championship™ should feel confident that Eagle River’s prolific muskie fishery should be able to produce the points they need to get to the “BIG SHOW”!

Hundreds of muskie tournament anglers have competed throughout the year not only to test their skill and knowledge against fellow competitors to win individual events, but to score enough points in the chase for the Lapp Trophy™ (named after Dic & Rick Lapp for winning the first ever WMT Series™ team of the year in 2001) that could reward the team with an extra $20,000.00, depending on the 2013 season of participation. The outcome of the Autumn Muskie Classic™ will have a huge impact on determining the winners of the Lapp Trophy™, even with the two remaining Muskie Country™ qualifiers still to be completed, and is a “CAN’T MISS” for all serious contenders. Also the winners of the 2013 Pro-MAC™ Champions™, that could reward the team an extra $5,000.00 (with a schedule of full fields), will be settled at the sixth and final qualifier of the Pro-MAC™ season in Eagle River.

The Eagle River Chain tournament still has open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. The Eagle River tournament is scheduled to pay down ten places with a first place prize equaling $20,000.00 with a full field of participants. The cost to compete in a muskie tournament is $330 per two person team or an angler can choose to compete alone. There will be a chance for teams to enter into the final qualifying Eagle River event the Friday before the tournament at the Hiawatha Hide Away (on the shores of Duck Lake) on HWY 45 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on August 23rd. The fishing hours for the tournament will start at 6:00am on Saturday and Sunday and conclude at 3:00pm Saturday and noon on Sunday. There will be two ease out location for the tournament with the Hiawatha Hide Away on Duck Lake as one and The Chanticleer Inn on the channel between Eagle Lake and Voyager Lake as the other. The awards for the event will start at 1:00pm at the Hiawatha Hide Away registration headquarters.

If there wasn’t enough reasons to fish the 2013 Eagle River Autumn Muskie Classic™ here is one more…the 2014 WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ will return to Eagle River the last weekend in September that is scheduled to pay out $100,000.00 for the first place finishers (with full fields of scheduled events). So fishing this year’s Eagle River Autumn Muskie Classic™ means you have a chance to 1.win the event, 2.qualify for 2013 highest cash muskie tournament, 3.be crowned the Pro-MAC™ Champions™, 4.closer to winning the Lapp Trophy™, and 5.prefish for next year Invitational Championship™…that’s a win, win, win, win, win! We hope to see you there.

WMT SERIES™ LAKE MOHAWKSIN EVENT CRITICAL FOR QUALIFYIERS

The World Muskie Tournament Series™ (WMT Series™) will be concluding the 2013 regular season of muskie qualifiers with the Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™) hosting two one day qualifying tournaments on the first weekend of September with a Lake Mohawksin event on Saturday, September 7th and a Rhinelander Chain tourney on Sunday, September 8th. Hundreds of competing anglers have traveled to tournament waters throughout the year, going head to head against the best muskie anglers in the world, to have a chance to score on some muskies not only to take home the first place bragging rights at an event, but also to rack up points to qualify for muskie fishing's "Holy Grail"…the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™. The WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ is the most prestigious muskie event of the tournament season and has set records for the last three years with the highest cash pay-outs for a muskie tournament circuit championship with last year's top prize of $50,000.00 and a purse of over $70,000.00. This year could see that record falling again for the fourth straight year at $80,000.00 for first place with a purse of $140,000.00.

With so much at stake during the final qualifying weekend for the WMT Series™, Lake Mohawksin should be a flurry of activity with muskie anglers looking to capture those last remaining spots for the Championship. In addition, teams that have already qualified for the Championship will be jockeying for early starting positions by putting "fish on the board" for very valuable points. There will be teams looking for Lake Mohawksin to propel their World Muskie Tournament Series™ Rankings™ to earn the MCTC™ Championship™ that could be worth an extra $5,000.00 (depending on the fields of remaining events) and the highest honor in muskies tournament fishing, the Lapp Trophy™ for winning the team of the year that could be worth an extra $20,000.00 (depending on the fields of remaining events).

The Lake Mohawksin tournament still has some open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. PRO-MAC™ FINISHES IN VILAS COUNTY WITH TWO EVENTS

The Professional Muskie Angler Circuit ™ (Pro-MAC™) will be finishing the 2013 six tournament season with two Vilas County qualifying events. The first of the two will be hosted on the Manitowish Chain August 17th and 18th, and then wrapping up the year on the Eagle River Chain August 24th and 25th. Both tournaments are sure to play an important role as to who will qualify for muskie fishing's most prestigious tournament of the season with the highest cash pay-out of the year for any muskie event…the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™.

Hundreds of muskie tournament anglers have competed throughout the year not only to test their skill and knowledge against fellow competitors to win individual events, but to score enough points to qualify for the Invitational Championship™. The Manitowish Chain R.A.M.M. Cup Open™ has been a big producer in the past for anglers not only in the number of muskie registered but also in the amount of teams who have qualified for the Championship from the major event. But even though the field of qualifying teams from the Pro-MAC™ will become a little bit clearer with the results at the conclusion of the Manitowish Chain R.A.M.M. Cup Open™, the Eagle River Chain Autumn Classic™ will not only determine the top fifty teams to qualify for the Invitational Championship™, but also the Pro-MAC™ Champions will be also be decided by the team who finishes with the most amount of points for the season that could give the winners as much as $5,000.00 additionally. Both the Manitowish Chain and Eagle River Chain tournaments will ultimately decide who will win the 2013 Lapp Trophy™ (team of the year) that combines the points earned in the Pro-MAC™ and the Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™) that could reward the team with an extra $20,000.00.

For the teams who win the Pro-MAC™ Manitowish Chain and Eagle River Chain events, there is no better feeling than to hoist the trophy as winners after competing with and against your peers, however there exuberance will have to tone down as they prepare to further compete in the biggest muskie tournament of the year, the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™. The winners and qualifying teams from the Manitowish and Eagle River events will be ready for muskie tournaments ultimate prize at the prestigious Invitational Championship™ and are sure to be aware that the event has set records for the last three years with the highest cash pay-outs for a muskie tournament circuit championship with last year's top prize of $50,000.00 with a purse of over $70,000.00. This year could see that record falling again for the fourth straight year at $80,000.00 for first place with a purse of $140,000.00. For the competing teams, Manitowish and Eagle River doesn't represent the end of the season, but just the beginning.

The Manitowish Chain and Eagle River Chain tournaments still have open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. Both Manitowish and Eagle River tournaments are scheduled to pay down ten places with a first place prize equaling $20,000.00 with a full field of participants. The cost to compete in a muskie tournament is $330 per two person team or an angler can choose to compete alone. There will be a chance for teams to enter into either or both events the Friday before each tournament with Little Bohemia Restaurant (on the north shores of Little Star Lake) on HWY 51 for the Manitowish Chain event from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on August 16th, and Hiawatha Hide Away (on the shores of Duck Lake) on HWY 45 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on August 23rd. The fishing hours for the tournaments will start at 6:00am on Saturday and Sunday and conclude at 3:00pm Saturday and noon on Sunday. The awards for each event will start at 1:00pm at each respective registration headquarters.

PRO-MAC™ RESUMES AT THREE LAKES MUSKIE SUMMIT™

The Professional Muskie Angler Circuit™ (Pro-MAC™) will resume the second half of the 2013 regular season with the Three Lakes Chain Muskie Summit Open™ August 3rd and 4th. The Pro-MAC™ Three Lakes Muskie Summit Open™ qualifier last season produced an impressive number of muskies over forty inches (40") and this year's tournament could even outperform a year ago totals with the recent first hand reports of numerous big fish caught and released on the chain in the last couple of weeks. All of this good fishing is of particular interest to the competing teams who are not only looking to be victorious at the Muskie Summit Open™, but also very important to the teams looking to compile enough points to fish in muskie fishing's most prestigious event of the season, the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™. Last year in Eagle River the top prize of $50,000.00, with a purse of over $70,000.00, established the new record high for the biggest cash pay-out for a muskie fishing tournament circuit championship. This year could see that record falling again for the fourth straight year at $80,000.00 for first place with a purse of $140,000.00. The Three Lakes Chain Pro-MAC™ Muskie Summit Open™ tournament is scheduled to pay down ten places with the first place prize equaling $20,000.00 with a full field of participants. The Three Lakes Muskie Summit Open™ still has some open spot and the cost to compete in the muskie tournament is $330 per team.

The Three Lakes Chain has proven to be one of the WMT Series™ most popular waters with our tournament anglers, and has been responsible for qualifying more teams for the Invitational Championship™ than any other body of water since we started hosting tournaments on the chain. Because the Three Lakes Chain has been such a consistent producer of muskies, not only in numbers but also the overall size of the muskies have been greater than for most waters, the WMT Series™ 2015 Invitational Championship™ is scheduled to be hosted on the chain in September. This is great news to the muskie anglers who love to purse the fabled fish of 10,000 casts on the Three Lakes Chain and for those die hard muskie anglers who will soon discover for themselves just how good the muskie fishery is on the chain, but there is still plenty of quality fishing to be had with this year's Muskie Summit Open™ and next season's event(s). The Three Lakes Muskie Summit Open™ qualifier will start at 6:00 am both Saturday and Sunday, concluding at 3:00 pm on Saturday with a gathering of tournament competitors at 4:00pm at Pine Isle Resort and Sunday will run until noon. The Sunday awards are open to the public starting at 1:00pm and will be held at the tournament headquarters Jake's Bar and Grill on HWY 32 in Three Lakes.

The Pro-MAC™ Three Lakes Chain Muskie Summit Open™ still has open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. We will also be accepting entries the Friday before the tournaments at Jake's Bar and Grill on HWY 32 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

MUSKIE COUNTRY™ EAGLE RIVER & SAND/DAM LAKE EVENTS OPEN

The Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™) will be hosting two qualifying tournaments on the final weekend of July with an Eagle River Chain event on Saturday, July 27th followed by a Sand/Dam Lake Chain tourney on Sunday, July 28th. Both of the events will mark the 201st and 202nd tournament that the World Muskie Tournament Series™ (WMT Series™) has hosted since its inaugural season in 2001. During the thirteen seasons of the WMT Series™ the Eagle River Chain and the Sand/Dam Lake Chain has played an important role for the tournament competitors and for the tournament series as both locations have hosted the season ending Invitational Championship™ and have been high producer of registered muskies when they have been qualifying events.

The 2013 tournament season has been as unpredictable as the weather and the muskie fishing. However, with reports of both bodies of water starting to "turn on", the Muskie Country™ Eagle River and Sand/Dam tournaments can and will be one of the best chances for teams looking to put "fish on the board" for those very important points to qualify for muskie fishing's most prestigious tournament, the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ to be held on the last weekend of September on the world class muskie fishery of the Namakagon Chain in Clam Lake, Wisconsin. Last year the Invitational Championship™ was held on the Eagle River Chain and set a record high for the most muskie registered for the Championship at 43 fish and the highest cash pay-out for a muskie Championship with $50,000.00 going to the first place finishers and a purse of over $74,000.00. This year could see the cash pay-out record fall for the fourth straight year at $80,000.00 for first place with a purse of $140,000.00.

The tournaments will start at 6:00am and finish up at 3:00pm. The cost to compete in a Muskie Country™ tournament is $330 per team for each event. Both the Eagle River Chain and the Sand/Dam Lake Chain tournaments are scheduled to pay down five places with a first place prize equaling $10,000.00 at each event with a full field of participants. Both the Eagle River Chain and Sand/Dam Lake Chain still have open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. We will also be accepting entries for either event the Friday before the tournaments, July 26th, at Hiawatha Hide Away (on the shores of Duck Lake) on HWY 45 in Eagle River from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. There will also be an opportunity to enter into the Sand/Dam Lake Chain event on Saturday, July 27th at Pitlik's Sand Beach Resort from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

WMT SERIES™ FATHER'S DAY THREE LAKES TOURNEY

The World Muskie Tournament Series™ (WMT Series™) will be hosting the second qualifying tournament of the 2013 Professional Muskie Angler Circuit™ (Pro-MAC™) on the Three Lakes Chain this Father's Day Weekend June 15th and 16th. Last year, the June Three Lakes Pro-MAC™ qualifier was a very important event for the regular season producing a lot of muskies for teams looking to fish in muskie fishing's most prestigious event of the season, the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™. Last year's top prize of $50,000.00 with a purse of over $70,000.00 established the new record high for the biggest cash pay-out for a muskie fishing tournament circuit championship. This year could see that record falling again for the fourth straight year at $80,000.00 for first place with a purse of $140,000.00. The Three Lakes Chain Pro-MAC™ Guerdon Muskie Open™ tournament is scheduled to pay down ten places with the first place prize equaling $20,000.00 with a full field of participants. The Three Lakes Guerdon Muskie Open™ still has some open spot and the cost to compete in the muskie tournament is $330 per team.

Year after year, the Three Lakes Chain has proven to be one of the WMT Series™ most popular waters, so much so, that we have visited the chain twice a year since the 2009 tournament season. It is a "no brainer" for the WMT Series™ to spend as much time there each year on the Three Lakes Chain, the lakes provide competing anglers a lot of action that translates in to very important qualifying points, and the waters gives tournament anglers a better than average chance at catching a true trophy muskie. The Three Lakes qualifier will start at 6:00 am both Saturday and Sunday, concluding at 3:00 pm on Saturday and run until noon on Sunday. The Sunday awards are open to the public starting at 1:00pm and will be held at the tournament headquarters Jake's Bar and Grill on HWY 32 in Three Lakes.

The Pro-MAC™ Three Lakes Chain Guerdon Muskie Open™ still has open spots and there is still time to send in your entries to get an earlier starting position. We will also be accepting entries the Friday before the tournaments at Jake's Bar and Grill on HWY 32 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

2013 WMT SERIES™ EAGER TO BUILD ON PRIOR SUCCESSES

At the conclusion of the 2012 tournament season, the World Muskie Tournament Series™ (WMT Series™) had set the new standard for muskie tournaments with being the first tournament organization to incorporate two tournament circuits; the Professional Muskie Angler Circuit™ (Pro-MAC™), and the MUSKIE COUNTRY Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™), with one season ending "Super Championship™" that set the new record for the biggest cash pay-out at a muskie circuit championship. Also a new ceiling was set at the championship when forty three (43) legal muskies (over 34 inches) were registered by the competitors eclipsing the old mark of thirty three that was established on the Sand/Dam Lake Chain in 2007.

To build on our successes of the 2012 season, we will be spreading out our WMT Series™ Championship™ pay-out paying down ten places rather than five with a purse of $140,000.00 (with full fields of scheduled tournaments) equaling a pay-out percentage at the championship of 359% pay-back. Also, we are bumping up the Lapp Trophy™ (team of the year) prize money from offering $5,000.00 (with full fields) in 2012, to offering $20,000.00 (with full fields) in 2013 to the team with the highest points total in the WORLD MUSKIE TOURNAMENT SERIES™ Rankings™ at the conclusion of the last regular season's qualifying event. This will all be done while keeping the Pro-MAC™ and MCTC™ Championships (champions determined by virtue of the highest point totals in each tournament circuits) bonus awards at $5,000.00 for each tournament champions (with full fields of scheduled events).

We will be offering all of the previously mentioned additions, and more, while reducing the entry fees at the qualifying tournaments at $330 per tournament per team. Also, we are going back to our early years of offering $20,000.00 for first place at each 2-day Pro-MAC™ qualifying event (with full fields) and offering $10,000.00 for first place at each 1-day MCTC™ qualifying event (with full fields).

The Pro-MAC™ qualifiers, Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ qualifiers, and the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ remain the best pay-outs in muskie tournament fishing…bar none. These tournaments were built by tournament anglers, for tournament anglers, with one singular concept in mind, to keep the entry fees as low as possible while paying back as much we can in our attempt to repay muskie tournament anglers for all of their efforts in preserving the muskie fishery for others and for future generations. It's this concept, along with adopting the best procedural methods allowed by the DNR, and the great men, women, and young anglers that have made us the largest and most popular muskie tournament for a decade.

The 2012 WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™ paid out a huge purse of over $70,000.00 with a first place prize of $50,000.00 to the winning team of Mats Holland (who won the Pro-MAC™ Namakagon Lake qualifier) and Steve Genson. The 2013 WMT Series™ early entries has our organization and anglers confident that the tour will set the record again, for the biggest cash pay-out at a muskie tournament circuit championship, for the fourth year in a row that could see a top prize of $80,000.00 held on Namakagon Chain September 28th and 29th. Both the Pro-MAC™ and the Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ schedules are loaded with top producing muskie waters during times of the year that are conducive to heavy muskie action that is sure to make the 2013 season very competitive while being extremely entertaining.

The 2013 Pro-MAC™ consist of six two day events where the top fifty teams will qualify for the most prestigious event in muskie fishing, the WMT Series™ Invitational Championship™. This year's Pro-MAC™ schedule is:

Madison Chain May 11 & 12
Three Lakes Chain June 15 & 16
Namakagon Chain June 22 & 23
Three Lakes Chain August 3 & 4
Manitowish Chain August 17 & 18

The 2013 Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ will host fourteen (14) one day tournaments with the contestants competing not only to win but to score on enough inches to qualify for the season ending championship. The 2013 Muskie Country™ schedule is:

Pewaukee LakeMay 18
Lake Okauchee May 19
Lac Vieux Desert May 25
North/South Twin May 27
Butternut Lake June 1
Phillips Chain June 2
Bone Lake June 8
Wapogasset Lake June 9
Pike/Round Lake Chain June 29
Squirrel Lake June 30
Eagle River Chain July 27
Sand/Dan Lake Chain July 28
Lake Mohawksin September 7
