The Professional Muskie Angler Circuit™ (Pro-MAC™) held its first two day qualifier of the 2011 season on the combined lakes of Butternut, Phillips Chain, and Pike and Round Chain Saturday and Sunday, June 4th and 5th. The weekend's event was the first of its kind, combining such notable muskie waters within one single event. Not only would the tournaments focus be on the team that would prevail as the champions, but also in question would be which lake was going to produce the most amount of fish along with the largest muskie, in addition was what lake would the winners come from?

The Pike and Round Lake Chain would capture more muskies than any other lake group with eleven legal muskies followed by Butternut with nine and the Phillips Chain with five for a total of twenty five for the contest. The largest muskie would be tallied on the Philips Chain and measure 47 inches with the second largest also coming from Phillips with a 46.25 inches, and the third best muskie was scored at the Pike and Round Lake Chain with two muskies tied at 44.75 inches. The lake that would land the first place price would come from the Phillips Chain, producing the largest double of 93.25 inches of muskie.

The first muskie of the day would be captured by Tony Piantek and Bill Vierkandt at 6:11am that scored 38.50 inches. The largest muskie of the day and for the event would be landed by Bill Green and Tony Fasbender at 7:35am that measured in at 47 inches. At 8:13am, Scott Spangle and Mike Jurgella would measure a 38 incher. By 8:29am, the team of Dan Buss and Todd Luedtke would be finished fishing for the day when they scored their second of the contest, a 37.25" muskie to add to their earlier catch of 44.75 inches at 6:28am. The team of Rob Hart and Pete Kolzow would tally a 38.50" muskie at 9:13am. Competing in their first muskie tournament, Adam Abts and Mike Leiterman would tally an impressive muskie of 41.50 inches at 9:45am. A 43 ½" muskie would be measured at the Pike and Round Lake Chain by Chuck Miesfeld and Bill Griffin at 1:18pm. Greg Schauer and Jay Sams would tally the third 38.50 inch muskie from Butternut Lake for the contest at 3:35pm. The final muskie of the day would be registered by Neil Barnett and Bill Hill at 3:54pm, scoring a dandy 42.50 incher.

Eight muskies would be measured on Sunday with the two earliest muskies coming at 7:35am by the husband and wife team of Ron and Shirley Golec with a 36" muskie and a 34.50 incher captured by John Carlson and Tim Nordland. The second team to double for the contest would be Barnett and Hill at 7:41am when they tallied a 34.25 incher that would eventually land the duo in third place at the end of the tilt. The third team to score on their second muskie for the event would be Green and Fasbender at 10:39am when they would land a 46.25 inch beauty giving the team an impressive point total of 93.25 and eventually the title. The last muskie to be measured would come at 11:38am by Gene Erickson, who was fishing alone, scoring a 44.75 incher.

Other teams who registered muskies on Saturday were: Scott Lewandowski and Dan Dassow 34.25" at 7:04am, Jason Baratka and Jason Weik 36.75" at 6:16am, Adam Glickman and Justin Teske 36 1/4" at 9:17am, Marcus Mayluk and Ben Bain 35.50" at 11:02am, Mike and Jared Case 36.50" at 11:08am, Chad Briesemeister and Tim McNamara 37.50" at 10:50am, and Tom Perdzock and Jeff Giesie 36.50" at 3:10pm.

Other teams who scored on muskies Sunday were: Kevin and Scott Abendroth 37.50" at 7:48am, Joe Brezinski and Randy Miller 35" at 8:06am, and Marty Moser and Tony Warkoczewski 35.50" at 10:33am.

The Pro-MAC™ Butternut, Phillips, Pike/Round qualifying tournament top ten finishers were:

The Pro-MAC™ inaugural 2011 season consist of three one day qualifying tournaments and six two day qualifiers, all culminating with histories largest guaranteed muskie tournament circuit championship payout of $40,000.00 to the first place finishers with a purse of $55,000.00. Pewaukee Lake will be the location of this historic 2011 Pro-MAC™ Invitational Championship. The next tournament for the Pro-MAC™ is the Three Lakes Chain on Saturday and Sunday, June 18th and 19th. There is still some spot open for the Three Lakes Chain tournament. If you would like to fish the Three Lakes Chain Pro-Mac™ event, you can sign up for the tournament on the previous Friday the 17th at Jakes Bar and Grill on HWY 32 just before (west on HWY 32) the Big Stone Golf Course between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
